Cotidiron
Cotidiron is a prescription nutritional supplement used to treat and prevent iron deficiency anemia and folic acid deficiency. It contains a combination of Ferrous Ascorbate (an absorbable form of iron) and Folic Acid (Vitamin B9), which work together to boost red blood cell and hemoglobin production.
Uses
Treats Anemia: Restores iron stores in the blood, reducing fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath caused by low iron. Pregnancy & Lactation: Supports fetal development and prevents anemia in pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
Nutritional Deficiencies: Helps manage low iron or folate intake due to poor diet or malabsorption.
Dosage & Administration
How to take:
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush or chew. It can generally be taken with or without food.
Medication gaps: Iron absorption can be inhibited by dairy products, tea, and coffee. Leave a gap of about 2 hours between taking the tablet and consuming these items.
Dosing: Always use exactly as prescribed by your doctor or healthcare provider.
